A successful and growing Orthotics & Prosthetics (DME) Healthcare Services company with several clinics across the Midwest has been expanding into the Chicagoland region. As a result, they are seeking a
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
to join their team and help build up their referral source network within the Greater Chicago, IL area also known as Chicagoland. It is an exciting job opportunity for a proactively minded healthcare industry sales professional with a track record of building long-term business relationships with healthcare referral sources like hospitals, physicians, Orthopedic specialists, trauma centers, rehabilitation clinics, and/or nursing homes. Their ultimate paying customers are the patients and their insurance companies.

Will be in the field meeting with and cultivating customers / referral sources most of the time.
Must have a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare industry.
Must have a minimum of 3 years in a sales environment that emphasizes relationship building and referral source development.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications is strongly preferred, but the company will consider equivalent work experience of greater than four years.
Ability to sell and close a customer.
Strong interpersonal, oral (includes telephone skills) and written communication skills.
Ability to work with physically handicapped individuals.
Working knowledge of standard office equipment, with ability to use them (fax, phones, copier, etc.).
Proficient in Windows based computer application as well as MSOffice suite.
Ability and desire to learn and perform.
Base salary target of $60K plus an open ended incentive based bonus structure that has the ability to reach $40K in the first year. The bonus is unlimited; so the Business Development Manager could earn a lot more than $100K in total income. A $500 / month Car Allowance will also be part of the overall compensation package.
